Baby Alpaca plaids are fantastically soft, light and luxurious. Despite their light weight, the alpaca throws are very warm because of their special hollow, air filled fibers which retain heat.\u00a0 This fibre protects Alpacas against the cold, while its breathable structure also allows them to tolerate warm conditions. Given that temperatures in the Andes may vary from +30\u00b0C to -20\u00b0C within 24 hours, they really need this protection!<\/p>\n
Baby Alpaca is the hair of the first shear in an Alpaca’s life and is the finest, softest hair available. It makes a great ingredient for our 100% Baby Alpaca plaids. Many of our throws come in natural Alpaca colors – from white to grey, anthrazite and light brown to dark brown – while our other plaids are dyed with AZO-free colors. Alpaca does not contain lanolin and due to this, doesn’t scratch at all and is hypoallergenic!<\/p>\n
